The human body is a fabulous machine, but sometimes things go wrong. Be it an infection with a massive attack of bacteria and viruses, be it a genetic defect or a mutation leading to malfunctions or uncontrolled cell growth called cancer.


Modern diagnostic methods and tools help to detect early signs of illnesses and support the correct treatment of appropriate drugs. They are becoming faster, much more precise and more convenient. They allow insights into the mechanism of our bodies – and the malfunctions – which have been unthinkable 20 years ago. Diagnostic tools are thereby an essential part in modern treatments and they will be the basis for personalized medicine in the future.


This event will explain challenges and present new approaches of diagnostics. It aims at an interested audience who would like to be updated and who wants to meet other experts. This event is co-organized with the Wirtschaftsförderung Region Olten, who organizes also the Swiss Diagnostic Startup Day on June 21st with the support of
